In the late sixties, Nomads had an “On The Road Championship” and an “On The Rough Championship”. The latter was decided on the combined results of grass track, scrambles and trials. Grass track events were often held on Noordhoek Salt Pan, scrambles at Sandvlei and Redhill, and trials almost anywhere suitable.
In preparation for my demise, I have moved the cape trials website onto a server managed by Mark Shearer. We are going with a new domain name also: http://capetrials.org
If you try to access the old domain (capetrials.co.za) you will be redirected to capetrials.org.
Please check out the site and report any problems (missing pictures, broken links, funny display, inability to post comments etc) to me please (email@example.com).
A fun start to the trials season at Welgelegen. Trophies in all classes (including electric bikes for youngsters). The venue is pleasant and it is easy for spectators to see most of the sections. If you are new to trials, or curious to see what it is about, this is the event to visit.
Beginners: Eric and Lindley will be guiding beginners through the sections. All the clubman sections have been set to be fun and suitable for beginners.
There are lucky draw prizes (and if you want to donate some, please contact Michael Krause on 072 290 5410).
Cleanup in preparation for the February KPR Fun trial. All welcome.
